Your question is rather vague, but the answer is most likely yes. It depends
on what you want to do, and how you phrase your IF statement -- Hth Kassie Kasselman Change xxx to hotmail "Francis Whitaker" wrote: Is it possible to make the excel IF function give me the result of a mathematical calculation as an output? -- Francis Whitaker |

![]() Well I mean I'm at a loss here... The logic test section seems to be limited to answering a true or false question. And the logic test is always a comparison between two values. So i'm just trying to figure out if it is really possible to display the result of a math calculation as an output. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- Francis Whitaker |

You don't explain what you mean by *math calculation.* If the *math
calculation* was say (A5+D5)/F5 then the IF() formula could be something like: =IF(COUNT(A5,D5,F5)=3,(A5+D5)/F5,"") This will show the result of the calculation only if all three cells have values. Post back with more information so that we can help you. -- HTH Sandy In Perth, the ancient capital of Scotland and the crowning place of kings Replace @mailinator.com with @tiscali.co.uk "Francis Whitaker" wrote in message m...
