Update Link When Worksheet Title is Changed
I have a link set up froma cell on worksheet one to worksheet two. There are several links on worksheet one to access worksheets 2-15. If the cell is changed (one WS 1), I would like the name of the worksheet to change too (on any of the WS 2-15). I can get the worksheet name and cell changed by renaming it...but without all the extra effort, can i get the worksheet link to stay the same without relinking the two? I want the cell to continue to go to the same worksheet, I just want the freedom to change the tab's name without affecting which worksheet it goes to. Please help! Thanks sooooooooooooooo much! -- Message posted via OfficeKB.com http://www.officekb.com/Uwe/Forums.a...links/200507/1 |

Are you talking about 15 worksheets within one workbook?
And formula links rather than hyperlinks? If so, the links will automatically be changed when you change a sheet name. So I guess you were talking about separate workbooks (in which case you would need the destination workbook open when changing source sheet name or saving the source workbook with a different name, for the change to be automatic. If you are talking about hyperlinks then you could use worksheet functions such as =HYPERLINK(CELL("address",[Book1]Sheet2!A1)) Bill Manville MVP - Microsoft Excel, Oxford, England No email replies please - respond to newsgroup |
