Default "Microsoft Visual Basic runtime error '424' object required".

When I open a file I created before I updated Microsoft Office, I receive an
error that states "file error: data may have been lost"., I click ok, then
file box comes up, I select enable macros and I receive this error:
"Microsoft Visual Basic runtime error '424' object required". The file will
open, in a flash, and the macros don't work.
