Default Linking to Visual Basic for Applications Help Files

When enter Excel 2003 and
alt-F11 to enter Visual Basic Editor and
type something (such as "Date") into help question box then

several links will display as ....(Visual Basic for Applications)
clicking the link goes nowhere, nada, no help

links without the (Visual Basic for Applications) always pop the help window

how do I get the help system to follow the links????
