Default Adding info onto a "permanent" form

Have created a form/template which I want to keep unalterable when I add
additional information which changes with each topic. Think of this as a
photocopied paper form laying on the desk that you want to fill out.
How do I create this form which CAN"T be altered EXCEPT to add information
onto the form
thanks for your help!

Make it a template!

Click on
<File <SaveAs,
Then, expand the "Save as Type" box, at the bottom, and click on
"Template(*.xlt)", then <Enter.

You have now created a "true" XL template, which will open *copies* of
itself, preserving the original in the template folder.
The copies are accessed by clicking on
<File <New
And in the "General" tab window, clicking on the named WS.
The WS that opens will have the name of the original template in the title
bar, with a "1" appended to the name.
You can open any number of these files at the same time, where each will
have it's own unique "ID" number appended to the original name.

You could then save these with any new name that you wish.

When it comes time to revise this "original template", simply open one of
the copies as usual, make your changes and revisions, but when it comes time
to Save, do exactly what you did originally to create the template.
Click on
<File <SaveAs,
Then, expand the "Save as Type" box, at the bottom, and click on
"Template(*.xlt)", *AND* then remove the ID number from the end of the WS
name, leaving the original name in the box, then <Enter.
This will bring up the "File Already Exists, Do You Wish To Replace"
Warning, to which you elect to "Replace" the original with your revised
copy.
