set the macro too high now it will not let me input any data into any
worksheet new or old and can not get into options. can anyone help me change the settings so that i may use the excel I have office 2003 professional thank you for your help. |

Diane
Setting the macro security to "High" will not prevent data entry. Maybe you protected the sheet or sheets. That will do what you say. Click on Tools - Protection - Unprotect sheet and see if that helps. Please post back with the results. Otto,
thank you for your response. I did not set the protection on. After I set the macro security to extreme high. all the items in the pull down of tools are now unaccessible and i can not change back the security setting on the macro. any suggestions on what may be causing this. diane "Otto Moehrbach" wrote: Diane Setting the macro security to "High" will not prevent data entry. The macro security setting does not effect your access to the sheet and data
entry or menu items access. Exactly what did you do when you set the "Macro" security to extreme high. The security setting has only Low, Medium, and High. Give me a step-by-step of what you did. Info only. Excel 2003 has a 4th level which is "Very High" Diane With Excel open go to HelpAboutDisabled Items. Anything there you could re-enable? Also, as Otto asks, give a step by step of what you think you did.
