Otto

Info only.

Excel 2003 has a 4th level which is "Very High"

With Excel open go to HelpAboutDisabled Items.

Anything there you could re-enable?

Also, as Otto asks, give a step by step of what you think you did.

The macro security setting does not effect your access to the sheet and data
entry or menu items access. Exactly what did you do when you set the
"Macro" security to extreme high. The security setting has only Low,
Medium, and High. Give me a step-by-step of what you did. HTH Otto

Otto,
thank you for your response. I did not set the protection on. After I
set
the macro security to extreme high. all the items in the pull down of
tools
are now unaccessible and i can not change back the security setting on the
macro. any suggestions on what may be causing this.

Setting the macro security to "High" will not prevent data entry.
Maybe
you protected the sheet or sheets. That will do what you say. Click on
Tools - Protection - Unprotect sheet and see if that helps. Please post
back with the results. HTH Otto
