Default List of data available for each cell within a coulmn

Hi,

I have seen this in a spreadsheet before but can't work out how it has
been done.

Row 1 has had a filter applied to it and one of the columns is filtered
as to only display say "open" records.

In the next column when placing the cursor on the cell a little filter
symbol (filter downward arrow ) appears in the bottom right hand corner
of the cell showing a list of data options available for that column.
You can then select one of these to change the data.

Can anyone help me here ?

Cheers,
Bernz

All that does is turn off the filter already on row 1

Hi,

Found the solution myself.

It was a "Data Validation List" that I needed for the column.

Thanks anyway.

Then it's certainly not a filter, just a list with a dropdown
