When doing a merge of text (or numbers) (such as a street number cells with
street name cells) the fraction-format numbers are reduced to decimal numbers. It would be very helpful if number formats could be retained after a merge, and/or fraction type numbers be allowed to be paste-special as text and therefore retained after a merge in fraction format. We deal with pole mounted electrical service addresses that all end in a 1/2. The current limitation prevents address sorting and we hope this feature can be added soon. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
