Default excel not copying formulas/formatting to next row?

i have a large table, column A has data validation, M has a formula for
calculating based on columns K and L, and O has condifional
formatting.

basically excel does not automatically copy the formulas down if I
start typing on the next blank line on the sheet, despite every single
one fo the 1500 rows before it all containing exactly the same
formatting and formulas.

I thought excel should automatically copy these things down if you
start entering on an empty row but it does not. We are using excel
2002 SP2 here. any ideas?

Go to Tools/Options/Edit, and check the Extend list formats and formulas.
