Select your cell and look at Format|conditional formatting.

Or use a custom format
Format|Cells|number tab
custom category:
[Red][<0]# ??/14;[=0]# ??/14;General

Can anyone please tell me how to change a fraction like 14 12/14
(being 14 stone and 12Ibs - I'm british!) to red when it is a
negative number only. And remain black when it is a positive?

I realise it is probably easy to most but to me at 55 it seems
difficult, having tried every possibility it would seem - but not the
right one obviously

The answer to the problem would be very much appreciated.
