Can Excel relate colour to value in a cell eg if 0.1=red, if 0.2-0.5= orange
& 0.6-1.0 = green?
If so, is it also possible that colours could be related on a sliding
numerical scale starting at say dark green at 1.0 and finishing at dark red
at 0.0 with brown in the middle (0.5) of the range?

Otherwise you'll have to use a macro.
