Default excel 2002

I have inported some data into excel. I need to change the date column to
DD/MM/YYYY so that it can be imported into a different program that requires
that format but I cannot find that format in the cell, format, date options.
am I missing something?
Please help

Right Click on the column of cells you need to format MM/DD/YYYY and choose
format cells then click on custom. Change the word General in the type box to
MM/DD/YYYY
