Is it possible to use the conditional formatiing to identify #N/A (the result
from a formula)

Try the following...

1) Select/highlight a cell within your data, let's say A1

2) Format Conditional Formatting Formula Is

3) Enter the following formula:

=ISNA(A1)

4) Choose your formatting

5) Click Ok

6) Copy to other cells using the 'Format Painter' or 'Copy Paste
Special Formats'

You can catch an error, not so sure about the type

=ISERROR(A1)

Change the formula to the following...

=(1-ISNA(A2))
