I am trying to setup a formula in one cell to look at a range of cells to see
if any are filled with colors. The range of cells contain numeric values and I created a conditional format to make the cell color red or yellow. If the range of cells are colored, then I want the one cell's format to change to the same color. Can anyone help me determine a solution? |

What are the rules for the range cells changing color?
Could you perhaps use the same rule(s) for the "one cell"? Counting cells based upon colors created by Conditional Fomatting is not very easy and requires quite a bit of VBA. If you want to have a go at it see Chip Pearson's site. http://www.cpearson.com/excel/CFColors.htm Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Tue, 12 Jan 2010 16:11:01 -0800, ron weasley <ron wrote: I am trying to setup a formula in one cell to look at a range of cells to see if any are filled with colors.
