excel replacing my text
Either pre-format the cell as TEXT or precede the entry with an apostrophe
like this: '1/60. -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "Dutchess46514" wrote in message ... I am trying to type in1/60 and excel keeps replacing it with Jan 60 how do I stop this? |

excel replacing my text
Hi Dutchess,
Try '1/60, if you want the division of 1/60, try "=1/60" (no quotes). Wkr JP "Dutchess46514" wrote in message ... I am trying to type in1/60 and excel keeps replacing it with Jan 60 how do I stop this? |

Excel see 1/60 as a date.
Preformat the cell as text or preface 1/60 with an apostrophe which won't show in the cell. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Sat, 12 Sep 2009 09:28:01 -0700, Dutchess46514 wrote: I am trying to type in1/60 and excel keeps replacing it with Jan 60 how do I stop this? |
