Default How to make a range of cells react to changes in one cell

Hello,

There has got to be a name and a formula to do what I'm trying to do, I just
know it! Hopefully one of you smart, helpful folks will be able to assist me.

I am creating a budget proposal with various ranges of data. Instead of
having to create multiple lines of how much things would cost for 10
speakers, 12 speakers, 15 speakers, etc, I would like to have a drop-down
list in a cell titled "number of speakers," and then have my range of expense
cells, "travel," "food," lodging," etc., change to reflect the number of
speakers (or whatever) being chosen.

Is this something that is even possible to create?

Thank you for any help at all!

Go to Debra's web site:

http://www.contextures.com/tiptech.html

Scroll down to the D's,
And check out all the pages she has on "Data Validation",
which is what you're looking for.
