Default insert records?

Hello all,
new to Excel, I have "volumes" of info., ie. 401k statements, checking
records etc. I would like to know if there is a way to scan them into Excel
2003 by category and date, there-by allowing me to burn them to cd's. Any
help appreciated very much, thanks, jerry.

Default insert records?

What format is it in now? Can you import these records? Which version of
Excel?
If 2007: Data From Access or From Web or From Text
If 2003: Data Import again choose the import source file.

Good luck,
