Numbering Rows
You can try one of the following:
(1) Key in a formula at cell A4 =A3+1, then click and drag down the cross- hair (bottom right) at cell A4 to A2006. (2) If you are using Excel 2007, highlight A2 and A3, click and drag down the cross-hair at cell A3 to A2006. Roxie wrote: I would like to number rows in a spreadsheet. Numbering Rows
Dear Roxie
You can also try A2=ROW()-1 which will maintain the row numbering even if rows are deleted from inbetween. Its up to your requirement. If this post helps click Yes --------------- Jacob Skaria "Roxie" wrote: I would like to number rows in a spreadsheet. A2 = 1, A3 = 2, etc to row 2006. What is the easiest way to do this? |
