Default conditional formula

How can I create a conditional formula that count only the numbers btween x
and y?

Example:
A 5
B c
C 6
D 2
"The formula can just count the values between 1 and 5"

Thank you...

Try...

=SUMPRODUCT(--(A1:A41),--(A1:A4<5))

Hope this helps!
