Problem with pasting value of a sum

I encountered a problem that's new to me while using autosum on a row of
numbers and blank cells
=SUM(D9:R9)
it seems to produce the correct sum, which is 0.00, but when I copy and
paste special, values, I get a strange number
9.9475983006414E-14

Any ideas?
