I have the following table of data:

2 a 6.4
2 b 6.5
2 d 6.6
3 a 6.7
3 d 6.8
3 e 6.9


how can I sort this to become:

a b c d e
1 6.1 6.2 6.3 0 0
2 6.4 6.5 0 6.6 0
3 6.7 0 0 6.8 6.9

any help is greatly appreciated?
