Default More effective than DAYS360?

Hello,

I am trying to find if there is a more effective function or formula to
calculate the difference in dates then DAYS360?

Also, my dates are in the following format :YYYYMMDD, is there a way to run
the formula using this dae format?

Thanks

Fred
