Formating Cells
Excel 97 help
Is there any way to type information directly into a cell, so that it looks like this... Name: Address: Zip Code: Phone: The way I have it now, each of the above, is in a seperate cell, and it would be easier to have them in the same cell. I have been typing it in notepad and copying it into Excel, so that the information would in fact be in one cell, but it is a real pain. |

Using [Alt]+{Enter] will add a line break in your text.
The only caveat is that if someone will be adding information to those cells it might be confusing for them. Generally, having each cell contain a single piece of information is cleaner, and allows for programmatic access/manipulation. OMG, you people here are fantastic! That is exactly what I have been looking
for. I am the only person using the spreadsheet, so that will not be a problem, and will save me tons of time! Thank you so much! Won't save you tons of time if you ever want to sort or filter the information
by name or address or phone number. Reitano's advice is very good..............leave the data in separate cells.
