Default IF scenarios

This is for a home based business.

Need help trying to find a way to get the most usage out of a 2' x 50' piece
of material.

Keep in mind that the length can be broken up into multiple pieces (ie: 60'
= 2 pieces) but the width cannot (the maxium to be used for each piece is a
combined total of 2' with nothing left over)

here are the different measurements that I have:

1.75' x 55'
1.25' x 45'
..25' x 50'

I am looking for a formula that tells the system to take the 1.75' and the
..25' and add only them to get 2' and then take the 55' and 50' and add them
to show 105' which would give me a total of 3 pieces of material.

Is this possible and if yes, can you please show me the equation?

If it needs details please feel free to email me and i will be happy to show
you more.

Thanks
