Scenarios are simply "Waht if" events for example the table belwo shows what
happens to $1000 with a 2% interest rate.

1000 1.02%
1010.2
1020.50404
1030.913181
1041.428496
1052.051066
1062.781987
1073.622363
1084.573312
1095.635959
1106.811446

If you select the table you can define a scenario about "What If" the
interest rate changed to say 4% or any other value and all this can be done
without any changes being made to your data.

It's also very useful in complicated calculations in determining which
variables are the most and least sensitive in affecting the result.

You've looked at what Excel help tells you under "About scenarios".
That pointed you on to
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/ex...117761033.aspx

Help also pointed you at a demo at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...CL100570551033

What other sort of examples are you looking for?
