Default how to prevent worksheet scroll bar to be bigger than working are.

Would like to limit the size of working area
After adding columns or/and lines ; the area of the sroll bar goes to the max
Please anyone has idea how to prevent this
Tired of copy in paste to new one.

IS there any way of setting the size of worksheet(s)?
Many THANKS

Excel sometimes over-estimates the "used range" of a worksheet due to data
being entered then deleted.

Debra Dalgleish has good info on methods to reset the used range.
