Default Date changes mysteriously

I am having trouble with cell referencing in a workbook. I have it set up so
that I enter the date on the first sheet and then reference that cell on the
following worksheets. This works on some of the worksheets but not on others.
For some I get a #VALUE and for some it returns Jan. 0 1900.

The whole thing worked fine previously. I have no idea what to do about this.

How and where do you enter the date (Cell and sheetname)? Can you show us an
example of the formula that works on the other worksheets and an example of
the formula that does not work.

Reboot and try again. Has happened to me in the past and this usually fixes
it.
Just XL having one of its occasional hissy fits.

Failing this it may be bacause you have changed the location of the data
entry cell and the referenced to cells have locked '$' cell location values
in the formula and no longer relate to the cell with the original date. A
return of Jan 0 1900 or Jan 1 1900 usually means that you have no data in the
cell you are referencing to or the cell contains text. #VALUE would indicate
the same problem.
