Default Using names, and related information, in a Pivot Table?

I am trying to arrange several tasks that are assigned to a few names on a
SS. I thought a Pivot Table would be great for this, since PTs handle
duplicates so nicely. I have used PTs many times in the past, but I cant
remember ever using text in a PT. Can this be done or not?

Let's say Sam Smith is responsible for the following:
Life operations
Foreign General operations
Consumer Finance operations

I wanted to see something like this:
Sam Smith Life operations
Foreign General operations
Consumer Finance operations
Etc........

Can anyone recommend a viable alternative?
