Default How do I sort row data without row fill color moving as well?

I am trying to sort the data in a spreadsheet without my row fill
color(shading) also sorting with the row contents. reply to :

In format|Conditional formating|Formula is: you can place a formula like
=MOD(ROW(),6)<3 and select a background pattern

This will produce as an example 3 lines of background color alternating with
3 lines of white. Since it is based on the row() number it will not shift
when you sort
