hi
collating is usually associated with printing and usually has to do with grouping of printed sheets. There is no collate function in xl but it has a counterpart call sorting. there is a collatingorder property in vba but that also has to do with sorting ie whether you are going to sort by english, chinese, french, other. each language has a different sort order. since questions have come up, i would suggest that you ask for clearification as to what your boss accually means by collate. is it just a simple sort or more complex? regards FSt1 "perrewperrew" wrote: is there a function called collate to help group stuffs from different cells? my boss told me collate items. but i didnt know what exactly she meant. i dont even know if it s called collate. |
