How can I calculate the current run rate from data that vairies month to month

Presumably it is the total number of runs to date divided by the
number of innings to date (depending on what run rate you mean - runs/
innings, runs/day?).

Perhaps runs/overs

how is your data set out, how do you show partial overs?
