Combining Pivot Tables
Our Company's business software provides what I consider to be useless sales
reports. I had our IT Mgr write a report routine that allows me to download line item sales information to Excel. I can then produce various reports with a pivot table. This works great for individual months. However, if I want to look at more than quarterly totals, I soon exceed the Excel row capacity for the data; we process roughly 10000 line items per month. The question is, if I run a pivot table for 6 months, and another for the next 6 months, can I combine the data to get an annual total? One problem I forsee is that we may have customers listed on one table and not the other or, the customers may be in different cells from one table to the other. Any solutions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Dale |
