How can I change the number of years on the Loan Amortization template? It
will only let me do 30 years and I need to do up to 40 years. |

I haven't checked if it still gives the correct answer (it should) but the
way to do it is select the years cell then data|validation change the upper value to 40 Mike "Cutter" wrote: How can I change the number of years on the Loan Amortization template? It will only let me do 30 years and I need to do up to 40 years. |

That cell has Data Validation which limits between 1 and 30.
Open the *.xlt file directly, not as a new workbook. Best way to do that is close Excel, browse to the folder the Template is stored in. Open the template from there. It will open as *.xlt Select and DataValidation. Change to 40 years and OK your way out. Save the Template.
