Default Conditional Formatting

Am trying to produce a checklist or scorecard that uses the tradition
traffic light colors to indicate levels or risk. Is there a way,
without merging cells, so that if say cell A5 meets the criteria for a
Red and white conditional format, the Cells B5, C5, D5 and E5 are also
Red and white conditionally formatted?

Thanks,
Thanos

Click on The cells you want conditionally formatted with A5's change in
value
Open conditional formatting in
Change it to Formula is

Write your formula with a fixed reference to (eg =$A53)

Select your formatting colours

OK
