Default Time formatting

I received some data containing time values as follows

11:44:46 AM
03:47:51 PM

I format the cells to appear in military time as follows

11:44:46
15:47:51

The problem is, the only way I can get the cell to display the military time
formatting is to manually edit (double click inside the cell) and then click
outside the cell.
No way am I doing this 15,000 times so it will display the formatting that
is obviously there. Help please!

It sounds like your "Times" are actually text. Try:

Copy an unused cell, select the whole range of "times" and the Paste Special
Add. This will concert the text to decimals. Now re-format the range to

the time format of your choice.

Default Time formatting

If the received data comes in as text you will get this problem.

Format the cells as General then.............

Try datatext to columnsfinish.

Re-format to military.
