I received some data containing time values as follows
11:44:46 AM 03:47:51 PM I format the cells to appear in military time as follows 11:44:46 15:47:51 The problem is, the only way I can get the cell to display the military time formatting is to manually edit (double click inside the cell) and then click outside the cell. No way am I doing this 15,000 times so it will display the formatting that is obviously there. Help please! |

It sounds like your "Times" are actually text. Try:
Copy an unused cell, select the whole range of "times" and the Paste Special Add. This will concert the text to decimals. select your data range

If the received data comes in as text you will get this problem.
Format the cells as General then............. Try datatext to columnsfinish. Re-format to military.
