Sorting
Dear all Excel Gurus,
Is there any direct function to sort a column of numbers in excel? Yes I am aware that there is a option for sorting in "data - sort", but I am looking for a direct excel function which I can write in formula bar and then sort. If you help me in this regard, I will be very grateful. Thanks, |

Sorting
I really don't see the reason why do you need such function.
You know that Excel automatically recalculate the formulas every time you change some cell in workbook (default option, could be changed to manual by Tools/Options/Calc) - what should be done if you enter a few SORT() functions in number of cells? Maybe you just want to make it easier for use but Data/Validation? You should try to record macros that will sort your data and put a custom button for those sorts/macros? Will that help |
