Default text box linked to cell

How do I get text boxes to reference the contents AND THE FORMAT of a cell.
Using the control toolbox's properties and LinkedCell, I can get text boxes
to reference numbers from a cell but not the format. For example, I want the
text box to reference the same shaded color as what's in the cell and also
only want one decimal point to be displayed. I will be transferring data
into cells that will also contain conditional formatting to shade cells. I
want this data to be displayed in text boxes on a silhouette the same as they
appear in the cell. Sure hope someone can help. Thank you.

Hi DJP,

Quite a tricky task ... with a lot of coding in an event macro to
identify all cell attributes and get them replicated in textbox ...

Would sound more reasonnable to look for another solution ...
