I'm trying to creat a hyperlink to MS Word and Adobe documents in an
excel spreadsheet. When I click on the hyperlink it says: "The address of this site is not valid. Check the address and try again." When I go to Edit hyperlink in the address box I see the file destination mixed with numbers and percent signs such as: Corporate/20%Legal/20% Need help! |

The % signs are wildcards for filepath names.
What I would do is the following: 1) Make note of the filepath of the Word/Adobe document to which you want to link. 2) Go to the hyperlink in the XL workbook, delete it. 3) Go to Insert--Hyperlink and navigate to the document, based on the info you got in step 1. Type in a "friendly name" you want to appear and click OK. Your hyperlink should work now. Dave -- Brevity is the soul of wit. "S. Banks - Admin.
