Default using Excel 4's REGISTER command

I'm using Jan Karel Pieterse's method to include new function categories and
argument descriptors in the function wizard in Excel 2002
(http://www.jkp-ads.com/articles/RegisterUDF01.asp).

2 things:
Does anyone know how to embolden required arguments and un-embolden optional
ones?
Using this method, I'm getting an un-named argument for a UDF (blank box in
the second step of the function wizard) that should have no arguments -
similar to Excel's TODAY function. Does anyone know how to lose this?
