I can not access the VBA Editor as it is greyed out. I have double-check
settings relative to the Excel Options in the Trust Center to ensure the Macro Settings are enabled and the Developer Macros Settings is checked. Does anyone have any ideas as to why? Thanks, John |

In the "Trusted Publishers" pane there is a check box for "Trust Access To
Visual Basic". Make sure that is also checked. "John" wrote: I can not access the VBA Editor as it is greyed out. I cant find the one JLGWhiz refers to under Trusted Publishers pane but
there is a similar one under Macro Settings €śTrust access to VBA object model€ť. However, unchecking that does not disable the VBA editor. Only clutching at straws and I dont intend to test it but I dont suppose you have removed or disabled any of the default Trusted locations? By default there should be 6 trusted locations and one or more of these may be required for the VBA editor. Under the description they a- Excel 2007 default location: User templates Excel 2007 default location: Excel Startup Excel 2007 default location: User Startup Excel 2007 default location: Application Template Excel 2007 default location: Office Startup Excel 2007 default location: Add-ins In the same dialog box ensure that box is unchecked against €śDisable all trusted locations. Only files signed by Trusted Publishers will be trusted€ť If you have deleted the trusted locations and now dont know the path for them then let me know and Ill post them for you. -- Regards, OssieMac "JLGWhiz" wrote: In the "Trusted Publishers" pane there is a check box for "Trust Access To Visual Basic". If you tried all of the Trust Center options and it still does not respond,
then it is possible that when Excel was being installed, the VBA option was not selected. If that is true, then it would require an uninstall and re-install to select the VBA option during installation. But check with someone you know who is computer savvy before going that route. The resolution was to install the missing VBA component. The VBA component
is a shared feature and not part of the Excel installantion. Thanks to everyone who repsonded.
