When you say you open a file, do you mean that you have Excel already
running and open the workbook from the File menu, or are you double-clicking on an icon in a Windows folder window? I'm not sure why this would make much difference, but the answer may lead somewhere. i've seen what you mention causing a problem when there was a disconnected
mapped drive. file open worked ok, but double clicking a file would exhibit long wait times. -- Gary "Chip Pearson" wrote in message ... Thanks, Madiya- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Chip and Gary, Thanks for reply. I have tried to open the file both ways. 1. By double clicking in the windows explorer 2. Excel already open and I open the file by going to file, open dialogue box. Both takes the same time. However, I have noticed that today my wait time is reduced considerably. But I have not changed anything on my pc. No software add/removed, no settings changed. Only new data files created and saved. Also there is no mapped drive on my pc. Thanks, Madiya. |
