When I open a file, nothing happens until I click the Office Icon in the
upper left of Excel. Is this a glitch? Once i click there, it seems open
fine.

1 - Start Run excel /s
2 - Start Run excel /unregserver
3 - Start Run excel /regserver

Not sure what you understood from my post. Let me try again. I have some
file links on my desktop. When I double click one, only the Excel with a no
sheet showing opens up. Then I can click the Logo Icon in the upper right of
the program and the dropdown comes down. At that same time the file then
displays. (We are of course talking of Excel 2007.)

I did you runs but don't know what that might tell me.

Any thoughts on my question?
