Excel has two settings - One taskbar icon for Excel or one for each visible
window. There is no option for just the active workbook window. To code the switch between the two settings, record a macro as you switch manually using Excel Options, Advanced, Display section. -- Jim "XP" wrote in message ... | Using Office 2007 and Win XP; | | When multiple XL files are open, each open XL file appears as a separate | icon on the "Start" menu bar in Windows. | | Is there a way to hide those icons or only show the currently active file? | | If so, I would need to do this in VBA on the fly with the ability to switch | back and preferably without resorting to APIs. | | If this is possible, could someone perhaps post example code on how to do | this? | | Thanks much for your assistance. |
