Default Using INDIRECT

I'm trying to use INDIRECT for the first time. I have successfully
used it on its own
e.g. =INDIRECT("'file_"&A1&".xls]sheet1'!B2")

I'm now trying to use it with VLOOKUP, but Im not too should what the
order of syntax was?

e.g. =VLOOKUP(C3, INDIRECT("'file_"&A1&".xls]sheet1'!B2:F10"), 3,
FALSE)

Thanks for your input.
