Default Microsoft Map is no longer supported with Microsoft Office Excel

I am attempting to add buttons from the Control Box but Excel will not let
me, it is coming up with the error 'Microsoft Map is no longer supported with
Microsoft Office Excel'. I did a survey sheet a couple of weeks ago and
didn't have a problem then. I have tried shutting the machine down and
restarting, I have tried using a new workbook but to no avail. I am pushing a
deadline with this worksheet and this problem is driving me insane. I am
using Excel 2003.

According to a Microsoft you can display maps created in an earlier versoin
of Excel, but from Excel 2002 forward you cannont modify or create new ones.

See note below for the full-text or go to the following MS site for
additional information:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...b-cde578d3b7d1

Note Microsoft Map, which is a feature of Excel 2000 that creates, displays
and enables you to analyze information by geographical region, is not
available with Microsoft Excel 2002 and later. In Microsoft Excel 2002 and
later, you can display maps created by using Microsoft Map in an earlier
version of Excel, but you cannot modify the maps or create new ones.

Kevin and Dave, thank you for your response. I did see that document you
refer to Kevin but i am not that computer literate when it comes to
programming and it only served to confuse me more and the same with yours
Dave. I only have the Office 2003 CD, are you suggesting i reinstall excel?
What confuses me is, as i said i set up a survey using control toolbox
buttons on this same machine just a couple of weeks ago. I don't think the
worksheet corupted anything because i took it into my office computer and i
was able to finish it.
