Default Pivot Table: group dates by filing period

My PST (Provincial Sales Tax) filing periods are October 1 to March 31
and April 1 to September 30. I'd like to create a pivot table based on
my table of purchases (named range: Purchases) and have the dates
grouped by filing period. Of course the default ranges don't allow for
this kind of flexibility so I'm guessing I'll need some code...

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks,

KZ

You could add a field to the source data, and calculate the filing
period based on the date. Then, add that field to the pivot table,
instead of using the date field.

Hey, that could work...!
I'll give that a try but I'd still like to know if there's a way to do
what I originally wanted.

Thanks, Debra,
