You don't NEED to have any specific reference. The following will work
without any additional references. Const vbext_ct_StdModule = 1 Const vbext_ct_ClassModule = 2 Const vbext_ct_MSForm = 3 ThisWorkbook.VBProject.VBComponents.Add vbext_ct_StdModule However, if you want to use the constants and data and object types, reference the "Microsoft Visual Basic For Applications. Extensibility 5.3" library. See www.cpearson.com/excel/vbe.htm for lots of information and example code. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel Pearson Software Consulting LLC www.cpearson.com (email on the web site) "greg" wrote in message ... hello If I need to create: VBIDE.VBComponent What do I need to reference inside of the Excel VBA?
