I produce a daily inventory summary pivot table from the current day's
download. I have created a master file to contain all the data from the newest download on Sheet1 and a pivot table on Sheet2. When this works properly, the macro runs and a simple refresh of the pivot table will get the job done. I am thinking a macro in the master file could delete the old data on Sheet1 then search for the most recent download file and copy it to Sheet1 prior to doing the pivot table refresh. This procedure would need to be repeated each day. So, how to make a macro look for a file based on ()Today in the creation date and a string of text that is part of the file name every day (e.g. 'inv')? |
