Default Daily Refresh of Ext Data

I have a wrkbk that summarizes data from several xt sources w/pivot table
queries from two databases. I have set to refresh on open, but each user
incurs the lag time. Is there a way have update run only on first daily
opening of file, and show the date/time last updated? I could then add
manual update macro button if user needs to refresh later in the day. Tks in
advance.

Perhaps you could make a blank spreadsheet with a manual update macro
button which would then populate your spreadsheet? Just force manual
and remove the automation.
